How the load moved.
Norvik delivers castings to three assembly plants that give each truck a 30-minute slot. Late trucks were costing them penalties every week. We put a dedicated planner on the lanes, run two drivers on the long leg from Gothenburg, and hold a day of stock at our Leeds warehouse for the slots that tighten at short notice. Over twelve months 4,180 of 4,214 deliveries arrived inside their slot.
Thirty-four late out of four thousand, and each of those came with a phone call first.
